Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Othman Mujalli, called on the international community and international donor organizations to provide support to the Yemeni government to implement its programs and plans in the field of economic challenges and alleviate the human suffering caused by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi coup militia war.

This came Yemen's address at the fifth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries, which began yesterday in the Qatari capital, Doha, and will continue from March 5 to March 9, under the chairmanship of the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani And the participation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, and 6,000 personalities, including heads of state and government, ministers, diplomats, businessmen, decision-makers, and representatives of regional and global organizations, institutions, and companies.

Mujalli expressed his confidence that the conference will contribute to meeting the needs of the least developed countries and supporting paths to achieve acceptable development in the coming years, in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, advancing the group's issues in the context of achieving the broader goal of the sustainable development agenda.. He affirmed confidence that the Doha Action Programme, which constitutes a starting point and a conscious approach to addressing the repercussions of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic on the least developed countries, will build on the achievements made in the Istanbul Action Programme.

He pointed out that Yemen is experiencing exceptional circumstances, not caused by the scarcity of resources or the failure of its people to cope with the values or modern age, but by the coup and the war waged by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Yemeni people.
