Masam removes 1,387 in the first week of February

King Salman Relief and Humantiarian Activities Center's Masam Project for cleansing Yemeni territories from landmines has removed during the first week of February 2023 up to 1,387 landmines planted by Houthi terrorist militia in different parts in Yemen.

The removed landmines are; 18 anti-persons, 233 anti-tanks, 1,087 non-explosive ordnances and 49 explosive devices.

A release issued by the project made it clear that the team of Masam has removed 125 anti-tanks, 522 nonexplosive ordnances and 44 explosive devices in Aden, 208 nonexplosive ordnance and one anti- person landmines in Qa'atabah District, Dhale'a.

In Hodeida, seven anti-tank landmines and 25 nonexplosive ordnances were removed in Hais District and eight anti-tank landmines, nine non-explosive ordnance and one anti-person landmine in Khokha District.

In Marib, the team removed 12 anti-person landmines in Harib District, two anti- person landmines and two anti-tank landmines in Raghwan District. In the meantime, one anti-landmine and 11 anti-tanks landmines, three nonexplosive devices were removed in Ain District, Shabwah and in Usailan 58 anti-tanks landmines, two anti-persons and one non-explosive ordnances were removed.

According to the release, the team has been able to remove 18 anti-tank landmine, 20 nonexplosive ordnances and five explosive devices in Makha, Taiz and removed 15 anti-tank and 302 nonexplosive devices in Thubab District.

The release noted that the number of the removed landmines since the beginning of the project in Yemen has increased to 386282 landmines planted by Houthi terrorist militia randomly across Yemen, killing innocent from children, women and aged people.
