The Foreign Minister's Adviser Gamal Awad, received in Aden today the Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina Jolie.
In the meeting, the advisor expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the efforts made to support refugees and displaced persons, praising the role of Angelina Jolie in drawing the world’s attention to the suffering of the displaced in Yemen, stressing that the Yemeni government has provided places for the forcibly displaced from their homes as a result of the Houthi terrorist targeting of civilians.
For her part, Angelina Jolie explained that her visit to Yemen comes within the framework of drawing the world's attention to the human suffering of the Yemeni people, and mobilizing international support to cover the humanitarian needs of the displaced.
