Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haydan inspected the Yemeni Coast Guards force, participating in the exercise of the Task Force for the Western Region, which is being attended by a number of countries around the world, and is organized by the US Fifth and Sixth Naval Fleet with the aim of enhancing maritime security.
The Minister of Interior was briefed by the Head of the Yemeni Coast Guard Authority, Major General Khaled Al-Qommali, about the readiness of the gunboat and forces participating in the naval exercise on the Red Sea coast, and to see closely about the exercise in partnership with the coast guard forces of thirteen countries.
Major General Haidan praised the readiness of the participating officers and personnel, stressing that the personnel of the Coast Guard forces should be an example of discipline and military connectivity to reflect a distinct image of Yemen and to gain a maximum benefit from the exercise.
