Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb has confirmed government's aspirations to expand the livelihood and improving survival capability project in rural areas in its third phase 2022-2025.
The project, which is financed by the European Union, will cover other areas.
Presiding over the 19th Meeting of the steering committee of the project on Sunday, Batheeb pointed out to significance of expanding the project to cover other provinces to improve livelihoods of poor people and developing small agricultural projects and production.
He praised the role of the EU as prime partner supporting Yemen in these difficult conditions across economic, social, humanitarian and political domains and praised the union's contribution in many vital fields, mainly agricultural, food security, human rights and woman.
He also praised the role of the UN agencies in implementing activities of this project and other projects.
