[21/10/2021 05:37]

MARIB - SABA
Governor of Marib governorate Sultan al-Eradah engaged in discussions today with the Ambassadors of the Five Permanent Members States of the International Security Council (P5) over the situations in the governorate amid Houthi militia ongoing military operations, besieging al-Abdia District and attacks on civilians using Iran-made ballistic missiles.

Ambassadors of USA, UK, Russia, France and China contributed to the discussions which held via videoconference and covered topical issues in the governorate.

The governor detailed the Ambassadors about humanitarian situations that Iran-allied Houthi's ongoing military operations have further exacerbated, citing the most pressing needs of the civilians and IDPs and the local authorities' efforts to cope with these challenges.

Al-Eradah touched upon the international organizations operate in the governorate, blaming these organization for failing to help the besieged villagers of al-Abidia District. He stated that children, women, old and injured peoples were left facing death while relief organizations did nothing to offer help.

He made it clear that the humanitarian organizations failed to do their humanitarian job because their headquarters remain in Sana'a and the Houthi militia exercising pressures on them.

The Ambassadors appreciated Marib governor role and local authority leadership efforts to protect the civilians and help the IDPs.
