Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Mansour Bajjash discussed Tuesday with Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Pawel Jabloneski political, military and security situation in Yemen and means of reaching a settlement to end the war.
The two deputy foreign ministers discussed also the deteriorated humanitarian situation in the country and Houthi militia's continuous violations and aggression on Marib and shelling populated areas, the recent shelling that targeted the house of Marib Governor Sultan al-Erada, as well as bombarding displaced people's camps.
The meeting also touched upon Houthi militia's crimes of slaughtering nine innocent people and burning Makha Port and humanitarian repercussions of these crimes.
Bajjash hold Houthi militia responsible of hindering peace process, halt of international efforts to realize peace and regain order, confirming government's commitment of reaching a political settlement and its efforts to realize inclusive and sustainable peace on the bases of the three agreed upon references.
He pointed out to Iranian sabotage role to extend the war through Iran's military and financial support to Houthi militia. He called for exerting pressure against Iranian regime to stop interference in Yemen's internal affairs and destabilizing the country and the region.
The threat posed by Houthi militia's mines and irresponsible dealing of Houthi militia with Safir Oil Tanker, which is considered the greatest humanitarian, environmental and economic threat to Yemen and countries overlooking the Red Sea if the long-stranded tanker on the Red Sea explodes or sinks, were also discussed.
For his part, the Polish deputy foreign minister confirmed his country's support to Yemen's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
He also confirmed Poland's development support besides humanitarian support to Yemen in addition to provision of 700 thousand doses of corona vaccines to help Yemen face the pandemic.
