The eemployees of the Central Bank of Yemen in the temporary capital Aden have completed a training course on the basics of combating money laundering and terrorist financing, as organized by PRAGMA Company, within the framework of the support provided by the USAID to the bank.
The topics of the three-day course included the negative effects of money laundering on the economic, political, security and social levels; the obstacles to combating money laundering in Yemen; and the effective skills for supervision, and the role of the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Central Bank of Yemen in supervising anti-money laundering work.
