Deputy Governor of Marib Abd-Rabbu Miftah discussed Tuesday with the Director of UNICEF's Office in Yemen Walid Numan coordination between Marib Local Authority and UNICEF and booting humanitarian cooperation for implementing a number of projects in the province.
Miftah praised interventions of the organization and its humanitarian projects in Marib in field of health, water, education and protection, commending its big humanitarian role in helping and providing shelters to displaced people as well as alleviating their suffering during the past two years.
He called upon the organization to double efforts and increase its interventions for expanding humanitarian projects and activities to cover increasingly numbers of displaced people, who influx to the province almost daily.
For his part, Numan made it clear that his visit to the province aims at inspecting relief situation and evaluating situation of the displace people for defining their basic needs and needed projects and working with local authority on defining the projects to be implemented by the organization.
He praised cooperation of Marib's local authority with the organization for easing its field tasks during the past two years.
