French Solidarités International learns first hand about Houthi siege of Taiz

The French humanitarian aid NGO Solidarités International learned about the impact of the Houthi siege on Taiz from the city's officials on Wednesday.
The NGO's visiting team was briefed by the Deputy Governor of the southwestern Yemen province Abdulqawi al-Mikhlafi on the aspects of collapse of the city's health and environmental system and the spread of epidemics as a result of the years long blockade by the theocratic militia.
The NGO's mission affirmed that they would be active with interventions in the environmental hygiene and revitalization of health services.
The team said it is in the process of assessing the impact of the conflict and within days, it will launch its branch office in the city.
