The Iran-backed Houthis committed 1039 violations of human rights against civilians in the territories under the radical militia's control in one week, a local NGO unveiled on Wednesday.
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms said in a report that the militia's violations occurred "from 6th to the 13th September 2019."
The NGO's monitors said the militia "killed 43 persons including six women and 12 children including by fire squad, executions, sniper shooting and landmines."
"The militia carried out three massacres in the same week by shelling houses in al-Tohayta and Hays in Hodeidah city and Salah district in Taiz city. In Taiz, thirteen persons were killed, the majority of which were children."
Other atrocities included raids of houses, arbitrary arrests and enforced disappearances, burning of houses, coercing children to join warfronts and killing oppositionists on the spot, according to the NGO's report.
