The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Minister of Planning meets with UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr Najeeb al-Aweg met Tuesday in the temporary capital Aden with the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian in Yemen Affairs Lise Grande.
The session devoted to discuss ongoing coordination between the government and the UN in the areas of education, water and sanitation and shelter for refugees.
Discussions also touched upon coordination between the UN's agencies and the government represented by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
Al-Aweg praised efforts have been made by Grande, promising every necessary help to facilitate the mission of the UN's organizations.
Grande expressed appreciation for the cooperation by the Ministry of Planning with the UN organizations to help them doing their job easily.
