'MASAM' Removes 5164 of Landmines, UXO, IED in September

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Demining Project in Yemen, known as " MASAM" managed to remove 5164 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and improvised explosives devices (IED) since the beginning of September until 25 of it.
The Center reported that 4452 UXO, 631 anti-tanks and 60 anti-personnel landmines as well as 21 IED were removed.
The Director of the MSAM Projec, Osama al-Qusaibi announced that since the project’s teams started their work at the end of June 2018 until September 25, 2026, they have removed a total of 593,489 landmines, UXO and IED.
423,960 UXO, 153,107 anti-tank landmines, 7,735 anti-personnel landmines and 8,687 IED were removed according to al-Qusaibi.
It is important to note that since the beginning of the project until September 25, 2026, the 85,812,262 square meters of Yemeni land have been cleared.
