Local authority in Marib governorate and a delegation of International Committee of Red Crescent held a session Wednesday.

The discussions focused on the ICRC's humanitarian interventions in the fields of awareness-raising, water, health and relief.

Governor of Marib Maj. General Sultan al-Arradah touched upon challenges facing local authority as a result of the influxes of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to the governorate.

"We're facing pressures upon basic services due to large number of IDPs who came to Marib"said al-Arradah
