Prime Minister Dr Ma'een Abdulmalik received on Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden, the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen Lise Grande and her accompanying delegation.
Discussions touched upon the UN's projects and efforts in Yemen over the previous period, special focus concentrated on the situation in Hodeidah city which Grande paid a field visit to last Friday.
The Prime Minister said" The Houthi putschist militia has taken control over the city, making the civilians human shields, denying them humanitarian aids in order to sell in the markets to enrich its leaders and finance their own wars".
Dr Ma'een reiterated the government's call on the UN's agencies and International organizations to relocate or open their offices in the temporary capital Aden so that they can operate freely and easily, offer relief and humanitarian aids to the people in need throughout all Yemeni provinces.
The Prime Minister also called on the International Community to support basic services including water, electricity, health, education and roads.
