His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

VP discusses military, security situations in Hudramout with officials in charge

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh held a meeting Thursday with Security Committee in Hudramout Province.

The session included Deputy Governor of Hudramout Esam bin Habrish Al-Katheri and Commander of First Military Zone, Maj. General Saleh Tomais.

The meeting discussed latest developments about security and military situations an local authority's efforts to meet the populations' needs and address their concerns.

The Vice President praised significant efforts made by local authority led by the Governor Maj. General Faraj Salimain Al-Bahssoni and other security services and civil institutions.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen pointed out to the government's efforts backed by Saudi-led Coalition to establish peace and security and counter the Iranian scheme, terrorism and put down Houthi militia's coup.

The Vice President ordered more efforts and joint action to maintain security and eliminate terrorism and improve the institutions' action.

General Tomais and senior military and security officers presented reports about the military units' situations and achievements released in putting plans in place.

The Vice President gave instructions to address problems and secure necessary resources to enable military and security services doing their mission effectively.
