The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Chargé D'affaires in Yemen's embassy in Addis Ababa, Yahya Al-Eryani discussed with the Speaker of the Ethiopian Parliament, Keria Ibrahim, the bilateral relations between Yemen and Ethiopia and means of developing them.
Al-Eryani appreciated the positive stance of the Ethiopian government towards our country. He recounted the efforts of Yemen's exerted political leadership to end the war waged by the Houthi militia by inviting the militia to come forward to the consultations table to reach a permanent settlement with them based on the three terms of reference; the GCC initiative, the outcomes of the National Dailogue Conference and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, in particular resolution 2216.
On her part, the Ethiopian official stressed the depth of the Yemeni-Ethiopian relations, and the Ethiopian support to the Yemeni people and political leadership,represented by His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
