The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Nasher receives Cuban-Arab Friendship Association president

Yemen's ambassador to Havana Mohammad Nasher received in Havana today professor Rodrigo Álvarez Cambras, Chairman of the Cuban-Arab Friendship Association.
They discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them.
Nasher pointed to the Yemeni government's efforts to achieve security and reconstruction in the provinces from Houthi rebels and to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to all provinces.
He affirmed the government's support for the efforts of the UN special Maetin Griffiths to broker a peaceful withdrawal of the Houthi rebel militia from Hodeidah province which the rebels currently use to smuggle in Iranian-made arms.
He pointed to the role of Iran and its Lebanese proxy of Hezbollah in destabilizing Yemen and interfering in its affairs by finance and arming the Houthi militia and other terrorist organizations.
