President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi received on Sunday members and head of the industrial and commercial chamber in Aden and discussed with them their significance role in building the state via their trade and economic activities associated with people livelihoods.
Attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Sa'adi and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Mohammad Zimam, President Hadi reviewed developments in the country in different fields and efforts exerted for regaining development order.
"Realizing stability is a national and social responsibility shared by all for its realization and deep-rooting its founders via adoption of values and foundations of means ensuring the trader's rights without adding unjustified and exaggerated burdens on the consuming citizen," said President.
He talked about government's efforts for overcoming the Houthiwar's repercussions and looting the state capabilities, depleting its resources and looting the reserve of the Central Bank of Yemen by Houthis for financing their war.
He also talked about accomplishments ofrelocating the Central Bank of Yemen to Aden, securing basic needs and paying salaries of the government's employees with support from Saudi Arabia, which provided Yemen with fund deposit of USD two billion.
He urged all to shoulder their responsibilities under this critical stage the country goes through and urged for coordination between the Central Bank and the Ministry of Trade and Commerce and the related bodies for supporting the stability of the local currency and keeping prices down. He pointed to important steps the state works on for boosting and improving resources, activating the control apparatus for drying out sources of smuggling and corruption.
" Development wheal goes in parallel with field efforts in military fields like inauguration the internet project 'adennet' in Aden's region and to all regions across the homeland and power projects …. have been commenced and starting and their implementation has been started," said President Hadi.
President Hadi directed forming an economic council from the government and representatives from members of the commercial chambers and confirmed importance of communication with the government and holding joint meetings.
For his part, the Governor of the Central Bank Zimam provided a briefing on the situation of the bank and its financial reserves and efforts with commercial champers and traders for providing basic needs, the stability of prices and controlling unlicensed exchange shops for implanting legal measures against them.
The Head of Aden's Industrial and Commercial Chamber Abu Bakrba-Ubaid talked about a number of challenges and joint concerns for setting up solutions leading to boosting stability.
The meeting tackled a number of proposals for boosting government and social cooperation and confirmation on activating the Free Zone in industrial and investment fields.
