Foreign Minister Meets Yemeni Community Representatives in Germany

Foreign Minister Dr. Afrah al-Zouba met with representatives of the Yemeni community in Germany on Friday.

In the presence of Yemen’s Ambassador to Germany, Louay al-Eryani, the meeting addressed developments in Yemen and the Ministry’s and diplomatic missions’ efforts to communicate Yemen’s positions to international partners and mobilize support for restoring state institutions and achieving peace.

Al-Zouba listened to the community representatives’ concerns about challenges facing Yemenis residing in Germany and the consular services provided by the embassy. Discussions also covered the community’s humanitarian, cultural and media activities and its role in raising awareness of the Yemeni cause and highlighting the humanitarian consequences of Houthi militia attacks.

The Foreign Minister commended the contributions of Yemeni expatriates, stressing the importance of continued coordination between the Ministry, the embassy and the community, and strengthening the community’s role in fostering relations between the Yemeni and German peoples.
