BUDAPEST-SABA
Yemen's acting ambassador to Hungary HammadDahan discussed with the Director of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Department at the Hungarian Foreign Affairs Ministry Andras Kovacs the bilateral cooperation in educational, cultural and economic fields.
The two officials held the talks in Budapest on Wednesday.
Dahan presented to Kovacs an account on the war and humanitarian crisis that the Houthis triggered the country and still refuse to come to peace talks that many put an end to it.
He said that the rebel militia has turned the seaport of Hodeidah into a port for smuggling in arms or raising finances for the war, which led to the collapse of health services and the failure to pay the salaries of public employees in the Houthi-held territories.
Kovacs confirmed Hungary's support to the government of Yemen and to the unity and stability of it and to peaceful resolution of the conflict as per the internationally recognized references.
