Aden seaport makes remarkable progress, the highest in 8 years

Gulf of Aden seaports has seen robust move of business in the first half of 2018 compared to the same period of last year. The activity of unloading and loading is reported to be the highest over the past 8 years.

Official statistics issued by Aden Gulf Seaports Corporation that the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of, showed that the number of incoming ships which landed in the harbor from January through June of 2018 reached 333 ships with an increase of 6% compared with the same period in 2017.

Ships of containers increased with 12% totaling 82 ships, with ten more ships in comparison with the same period of last year. Meanwhile number of containers increased with 20% amounted to 194,746 containers.
