Taher, Balfakeeh discuss relief aid efforts in Hodeidah

The Governor of Hodeidah Al-Hassan Taher met the coordinator of the Supreme Committee for Relief Aid Jamal Balfakeeh.

The two officials discussed the coordination of efforts between the Committee and provincial authority of Hodeidah to alleviate the suffering of the internally displaced people of Hodeidah.

They discussed the ways to ensure a smooth delivery of food, shelter and health aid to the people in line with the armed forces advance toward Hodeidah to liberate it from the Houthi rebels control.

Balfakeeh said that international organizations have no effective role and prompt responses in the province. He said that food aid is piled up for long inside the warehouses of these organizations, which Houthi rebels intentionally destroy by shelling the warehouses.

. Taher praised the Committee's work to alleviate the suffering of the people of Hodeidah and assured them of cooperation of the local authority with them.
