Agricultural Research Authority discusses research development

The General Authority for Agricultural Research discussed in Aden today the challenges facing the agricultural research and study centers. Agricultural experts from Aden and Abyan attended the discussion.

The Dep. Agriculture Minister for Services Sector Eng. AmeenBaqader said that the ministry is seeking to develop centers that carry out scientific researches to advance the local agriculture and resolve the agricultural impediments in the government-controlled area.

The deputy chairman of the Authority Dr. Abdullah Alwan made clear that among the critical issues facing the research centers are the war-inflicted damage of infrastructure, loss of equipment and animal strains that used to be in the research centers of Aden and Lahj andusurping of vast swaths of agricultural land in Al-Kawd of Abyan.
