Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz's recent directives for a $ 66.7 million donation to Yemen's cholera fighting efforts drew a wide acclaim from different international figures.

The crown prince had issued directives to King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid to provide the donation in response to separate appeals from the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF.

The Ambassador of the UK to Yemen, Simon Shercliff, poste on his Twitter account that the Saudi Crown Prince’s generous donation to contain the cholera epidemic in Yemen is a great gesture that would provide the necessary funding needed by UNICEF and WHO in Yemen to overcome this miserable situation.

The UN Undersecretary-General and Emergency Relief Coordinator Stephen O’Brien also tweeted saying the Saudi additional donation can produce a great positive impact.

WHO Regional Director, Dr. Mahmoud Fikri, praised the Crown Prince for this noble humanitarian gesture that cooperates with the World Health Organization in controlling the virulent epidemic
