Yemen, Saudi Arabia discuss reconstruction, economy recovery

Minister of Industry and Commerce Mohammad al-Maitami discussed Thursday with Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammad al-Jeda'an reconstruction and economic recovery in Yemen.

They also discussed fruits of recent meeting in Riyadh over receiving funds from donors for this purpose.

"We believe Saudi Arabia is the strategic partner to Yemen and this confirmed by historical and social relations linking the two people," said al-Maitami.

For his part, al-Jeda'an confirmed that the kingdom has been and will remain the greatest supporter to Yemen's development and is working side by side the government of Yemen in coordination with international financial institutions to provide financing package from donors for construction.

He unearthed plans of activating suspended financing granted via Saudi Development Fund to resume projects in Yemen.
