Foreign Ministry Announces Completion of Evacuation of Stranded Tourists from Socotra

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has announced the successful completion of the evacuation of foreign tourists stranded on the island of Socotra.

The tourists were transported to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, via four flights operated by Yemen Airways.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Ministry confirmed that a total of 609 tourists of various nationalities were evacuated. The operation was conducted in coordination with relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in direct communication with the embassies of the tourists' home countries.
