Ministry of Foreign Affairs Welcomes International Statements Supporting Leadership Council, Freedom of Navigation, Regional Security

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs welcomed the joint statement issued at the quadrilateral consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Turkey, held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which confirmed the four countries’ firm support for the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and the Yemeni government.

Minister of Planning Highlights 2027–2029 Development, Reconstruction Plan

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Faqimi chaired today, Wednesday, in the temporary capital Aden, the first meeting of the technical committee tasked with preparing the economic, social, and reconstruction development plan for the period 2027–2029.

The meeting devoted to discuss the general framework of the plan, the mechanisms for its preparation, and its development priorities.

The Minister stated that the 2027–2029 plan comes within a long-term development vision up to 2040, aiming to build a diversified and resilient economy, develop promising sectors, utilize available energies and resources, create job opportunities, improve living standards and income, ultimately achieving economic growth and sustainable development.

Al-Faqmi remarked that the plan aims to set clear national priorities, mainly rebuilding institutions, strengthening governance and macroeconomic stability, supporting economic recovery and resilience, as well as gradually moving from the humanitarian and relief response phase to sustainable development, as well as rehabilitating and expanding basic services in health, education, water, and electricity sectors.
