Foreign Minister Calls ON UNHCHR To Move Quickly To Protect Civilians, Document Houthi Violations

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Dr. Afrah al-Zouba called on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) Volker Turk and the Human Rights Council to take urgent action regarding the humanitarian repercussions and violations resulting from the military escalation by the Houthi terrorist militias, amid the rapidly unfolding developments on the western coast and the Bab al-Mandeb areas.

Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Mohammed al-Ashwal said "The government considers the private sector as a key partner and a driver of productive, commercial, investment, and economic activities, as well as a key contributor to creating jobs, providing goods and services markets."

His remark came during his contribution to deliberations on integrating partnership and activating dialogues between the government and the private sector.

The discussions organized today, Sunday, via video conference, by the Economic Reforms Team and the Center for Economic Studies and Media.

Al-Ashwal emphasized that establishing institutional dialogue and building an effective and responsible partnership with the private sector are key elements for addressing economic challenges, advancing the reform process and improving the business environment.
