Yemen's Ministry of Interior participated in the 17th Arab Conference of Heads of Security Media Agencies, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia, with the participation of security media officials from across the Arab world, alongside representatives of the League of Arab States, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
Opening the conference, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers Dr. Mohammed Koman underscored the importance of advancing Arab security media to strengthen public awareness, prevent crime, counter extremist and terrorist narratives, and harness emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to improve public outreach, particularly among younger generations through digital platforms.
Yemen is represented at the conference by Brig. Gen. Dr. Faisal al-Odayni, Director General of the Strategic Studies Center at the Ministry of Interior.
Participants are discussing a range of issues related to the development of Arab security media, including engaging younger audiences through digital platforms, Arab experiences in using media to combat terrorism, the role of security media in crime prevention and public awareness, and the use of artificial intelligence in security communications.
