The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council PLC) Lieutenant General Mahmood al-Subaihi highlighted the significant patriotic role of the governorate of Lahj in the country's temporary history.
"The governorate of Lahj played a leading role and contributed actively to the 14th of October Revolution in 1963 and defended the 26th of September Revolution in 1962", he said.
He voiced his remark today, Wednesday, during the handover ceremony between the new governor of Lahj governorate Murad al-Halimi and his predecessor Maj. General Ahmed Turki.
Al-Subaihi promised constant support for the local authority in Lahj, underlining the importance of joining efforts and working with a spirit of teamwork to establish security and stability, and speeding up the development drive in the governorate.
