Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi, today discussed with the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the water and environment sectors, support nationally prioritized programs and projects, improve water supply, and develop sanitation services.
The meeting reviewed the outcomes of Yemen’s participation in the Green Climate Fund dialogue for fragile and conflict-affected states, as well as prospects for cooperation with ACTED to implement climate finance projects, foremost among them the coastal adaptation project.
Discussions also covered water desalination projects in Aden, efforts to improve water supply in Taiz, and the development of the sanitation sector in Marib and Al-Mahrah governorates.
