For his part, the Chairman of Rahma Worldwide Foundation expressed his thanks and appreciation to the local authority in Taiz Governorate for its continuous cooperation, affirming that Taiz holds a special place for the foundation and praising the struggle and resilience of its people.
In a related context, Governor Nabil Shamsan discussed with the Planning and International Cooperation Office team the pilot model of the electronic portal for humanitarian and development interventions in Taiz Governorate.
The portal is being prepared by the Planning and International Cooperation Office with funding from the German Berghof Foundation, aiming to enhance coordination among humanitarian and development actors, provide a unified database for all interventions, and achieve a high level of transparency.
The electronic portal aims to enable donors, UN agencies, and international and local organizations to directly and transparently manage their project data, and to support decision-making processes for governmental and supporting entities by providing accurate statistics and interactive maps that illustrate the nature and scale of interventions across the governorate’s districts.
Governor Shamsan directed that several technical and developmental modifications be made to the portal to ensure it is launched as a specialized and leading platform at the national level, keeping pace with the latest technologies in information management and humanitarian and development coordination. He also commended the efforts of the Planning and International Cooperation Office in enhancing transparency and information sharing.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Planning and International Cooperation Office, Nabil Jamel, reviewed the project’s components, its expected outputs, success indicators, and mechanisms for ensuring its sustainability.
