RIYADH – SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, held a meeting today with Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Arab Affairs and the Middle East and North Africa, Massad Boulos along with U.S. Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin.
The discussions focused on the latest developments in Yemen and recent events affecting the country’s security and stability, in light of ongoing regional and international efforts—most notably the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting stability and de-escalation.
The meeting also addressed the security of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, emphasizing the importance of protecting global trade routes. Both sides underscored the need for greater unity among Yemeni components and stronger coordination to reinforce security, stability, and counter-terrorism efforts, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in confronting threats to Yemen and regional stability.
