Two women were injured when Houthi militia shells hit residential areas in the Maqbana district of Taiz, western Yemen.
The shelling, which targeted the village of Al-Soihra, also caused significant damage to homes and sparked widespread fear among residents.
The injured women, Yamen Ali Issa and Boshra Ahmed Thabit, were hit by shrapnel in the chest and head, respectively.
The shelling also damaged the home of Abdullla Sinaan Khweif and several neighboring houses.
Local authorities have condemned the Houthi militia's attack, which reflects their brutal behavior towards civilians in Taiz.
The incident highlights the ongoing violence and targeting of civilians in the region.
