Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar al-Eryani, revealed that the September 21, 2014 Houthi coup was the culmination of a premeditated Iranian-backed plot to destabilize Yemen and overthrow its government.
"Eleven years later, evidence confirms that Houthi militia orchestrated a series of mysterious security crimes targeting military officers, politicians, and media figures to create chaos and justify their rebellion," Al-Eryani stated.
He demanded justice for unresolved cases, including assassinations and bombings, suggesting the Houthis themselves benefited from these crimes to tighten their grip on power.
Al-Eryani concluded that Yemen will reopen these files after restoring state institutions and bring perpetrators to justice, ending this dark chapter in Yemen's history.
