[13/09/2025 06:31]

The Austrian Central Bank expects the local economy to record a slight growth in GDP of 0.3 percent for the current year 2025, thus avoiding entering a third year of recession, following stronger than expected economic performance in the first half of the year.

The bank's governor, Martin Kocher, stated that the local economy recorded slight growth in the first six months of 2025 after nearly two years of recession, which contradicts previous expectations that indicated a slight decline, prompting a revision of current forecasts.
