Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi, held a virtual meeting with the French Ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the environmental sector.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister of Water and Environment, Mujahid bin Afrar, reviewed the outcomes of the UN Ocean Conference held in Nice, France, last month, and potential areas of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in water resource management, coastal ecosystem protection, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
The minister emphasized the importance of French support for environmental efforts at the national and international levels, highlighting France's role in organizing the Ocean Conference and its significant outcomes.
