President al-Alimi receives draft rules governing work of Presidential Leadership Council, Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Legal, Economist Teams

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received today, Thursday, the draft rules governing the work of the PLC, the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission (CRC) and the Legal and Economist Teams in accordance with the third article of the Declaration of Power Transfer.

The Head of the Legal Team Judge Hamood al-Hitar handed over the President the draft at al-Ma'shiq Palace, in the temporary capital Aden.

The third article of the declaration of transfer of authority stipulates the formation of a legal team of experienced national proficiencies to draft the rules governing the work of the PLC, the CRC and the Legal and Economic Teams formed under the Declaration of Power Transfer and submit it to the Chairman of the PLC for approval and issuance by law.

The President heard a detailed account about the content of the draft consisting of 59 articles distributed over six chapters, in which the team demonstrated its professionalism, high national responsibility and deep awareness of the exceptional circumstances and the benefits of the transitional period in accordance with the pledges of the PLC backed by the regional and international communities.

His Excellency also was briefed on the Legal Team's future action-plans as a reference legal body.
The Chairman of the PLC praised the efforts made by the Chairman and members of the Legal Team to come up with the proposal of the draft, which after its approval procedure completed, would represent an important legislative reference to move forward in achieving the aspirations and hopes of the Yemeni people in enforcing the rule of law and strengthening the unity of the political constituencies against the Imamate-Houthi scheme sponsored by the Iranian regime.
