IMF approves $7 billion loan to Pakistan

WASHINGTON-SABA
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) board has approved a new $7 billion loan program for Pakistan over three years.

The loan aims to support Islamabad's efforts to boost its economy and create the conditions for stronger, more inclusive and resilient growth.

Pakistan approved the new loan in July, the South Asian country's twenty-fourth package from the IMF since 1958.
