The regional spokesman for the US State Department Samuel Werberg has affirmed that the US has no direct communication with Yemen's Houthi militants and the US conveys messages to them through media or intermediaries like Oman.
The US official said the Iranian-backed militia undermines the efforts of the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to end the war in Yemen.
Samuel Werberg confirmed in his interview with Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that all the progress made is now at risk because of the militia.
