Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahsani received today, Sunday, in al-Mukalla city of Hadramout governorate, the Acting-Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Shao Zheng.
Yemeni-Chinese bilateral relations and joint cooperation was key focus of the discussions.
The two sides stressed that it is very important to further boost joint collaboration between the two countries to serve mutual interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The conversations touched upon the significant contribution of the People's Republic of China to the development process in Yemen throughout several decades.
The Chinese humanitarian interventions and aids were also touched upon, most recent is a medical grant China provided to Yemen including medical devices, equipment ambulances.
Al-Bahsani expressed deep gratitude to the People's Republic of China for its long-standing support for the Yemeni people in different fields, highly appreciating the Chinese supportive stances in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government, Yemen's unity, stability and territorial integrity.
The member of the PLC underscored the importance of further promoting bilateral collaboration with the People's Republic of China.
He greatly valued the China's substantial contribution to the development of infrastructure in Yemen, mainly in the highways and bridges." We're looking forward to further increase joint action in the sectors of energy, electricity, developing the seaports and airports and building water dams", he said.
Al-Bahsani cited the great deal of investment opportunities in Yemen, particularly the governorate of Hadramout which constitutes the third of the country' entire area, very rich in natural resources.
The Chinese diplomat reiterated Beijing's support for the PLC and the government's efforts to achieve stability and peace in Yemen, affirming that his government is willing to further support the PLC and the government to help it improve basic services and people's living conditions.
