DUBAI-SABA
Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik participated today, Saturday, in the discussions held in Dubai on the occasion of releasing a report about the impacts of the climate changes upon human development in Yemen.
The report prepared by the UNDP and released simultaneously with UN Conference on Climate Change COP28 held in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Ma'een gave a speech in which he highlighted Yemen's need for international support to help managing the effects of the climate changes.
" The report's findings indicate that climate changes constitute the most formidable change that Yemen will have to face in the coming decades", said Ma'een.
The Prime Minister stated that the government is set to work out mechanisms that can help to effectively respond to the climate changes, highlighting the need for the partners' support to finance the government's plans and programs in this regard.
He said" We're looking forward to get substantial assistance from our regional and international partners to finance the government's action-plans to cope with the climate changes' effects".
