The Government of Yemen has expressed its deep concern and regret regarding the recent decision made by the U.S. Administration to restrict the entry of citizens of the Republic of Yemen to the United States, as part of a group of countries included in this decision.

Prime Minister receives Korean ambassador

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik received Wednesday here Korean Ambassador to Yemen Do Bong-Kae and the accompanying delegation, who visit Aden currently.

The two parties discussed domains associated with enhancing friendly relations between the two countries in different domains, including the developmental and humanitarian's role of Korean friends towards Yemeni people.

The two parties also discussed latest developments in Yemen, government's efforts to overcome current challenges and Korean firm position supporting Yemen's legality and keenness of Korea on realizing peace in accordance with international resolutions, which lead to regaining state and ending Houthi militia's coup.

Prime Minister was acquainted with underway projects in technical education and vocational training in provinces of Hadhramout and Taiz and future plans for new projects to help government's efforts in economic and development domains.

Prime Minister reviewed government's reforms under implementation and needed international support to improve services and livelihood conditions, including efforts for limiting impacts of Houthi militia's terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international maritime navigation.

He pointed out to latest regional and international efforts for renewing the UN truce and reviving political process, which has been stopped since Houthi militia's coup against the national consensus on the 21st of September 2014.

He praised Korean positions supporting Yemen and the Presidential Leadership Council and the government and humanitarian and developmental support, expressing aspirations for Korean support in field of capacity building of Yemen's institutions.

For his part, the Korean ambassador confirmed his country's full support to the government's efforts in implementing reforms and alleviating suffering of Yemeni people, praising government's efforts in these difficult conditions.

He pointed out to Korean support plans in the future in coordination with the government to define quick priorities.
