NCIAHRV, JIAT discuss joint coordination, cooperation
The Chairman and members of the National Commission to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations (NCIAHRV) discussed today in the interim capital of Aden with the Chairman and members of the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) in Yemen ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides.

The Committee to prevent child recruitment in Yemen concludes its meetings in Aden

The Joint Technical Committee on Preventing Child Recruitment in Yemen concluded its two-day sessions today, Thursday, in Aden with the presence of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Children and Armed Conflict Virginia Gamba and her accompanying delegation.

The meeting which held in cooperation with UNICEF brought together 32 participants from various relevant government agencies.

Director General of International Organizations and Reports at the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights Issam al-Shaeri noted that the Yemeni government rehabilitated more than 480 children in partnership with KSrelief Center, returned over 300 children to their families through local and international organizations and returned nearly 400 children to their families after rehabilitating them.

For her part Gamba praised the efforts made by the committee despite the tough circumstances to carry out the project procedures related to the road map, underscoring the importance of continuing joint work to give children in Yemen a better life, protecting them and providing them with psychological support.
