The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Foreign Minister meets with American Ambassador to Yemen

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak met today, Sunday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin to discuss the ongoing efforts to make peace in Yemen.
During the meeting BinMubarak reiterated the Yemeni government's condemnation of the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, denouncing the war-crimes and the offenses against the humanity which have been committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the civilians in Gaza and other Palestinian cities.
The Minister confirmed the solidarity of Yemen and its full support for the Palestinian people's struggle to liberate its land and establish its independent statehood in line with the international resolutions and Arab Initiative for peace.
BinMubarak cited the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council to support the ongoing peace efforts and touched upon the good offices mediation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to renew the truce and revive the peace process.
The US Ambassador reiterated his administration's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government as well as to the security, unity and stability of Yemen.
Mr. Fagin also confirmed Washington's support for the ongoing efforts to establish peace in Yemen.
