The Acting Yemeni Ambassador in Addis Ababa, Yahya Al-Eryani, discussed today with the head of the Middle East Department at the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry the bilateral relations between the two countries, the latest developments in the situation in Yemen, the ongoing efforts to stop the war and bring peace to Yemen, and the efforts of the political leadership to reach a comprehensive solution that leads to a sustainable peace that avoids more tragedies and bring Yemen out of the spiral of conflict.

Al-Eryani also discussed with the Ethiopian official a number of issues of concern to members of the Yemeni community in Ethiopia and the facilities required for Yemenis wishing to visit Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian official welcomed the ongoing efforts being made to stop the war and bring peace to Yemen.

He expressed his understanding of the difficulties the Yemenis face in coming to Ethiopia and promised to raise the issue and discuss it seriously with the concerned authorities.
