Parliament Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani met Monday with UN Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg discussing with him latest developments and efforts for reviving peace process in Yemen.
Al-Barakani confirmed that the legitimacy supports all choices for permanent and just peace, which protects Yemen's unity, stability and its republican system with democratic approach, pointing out that Houthi militia is not a serious partner in making peace as peace is not of Houthi's choices.
He made it clear that the legitimacy has implemented all past agreements amid Houthi rejection of implanting one of them, pointing out that Houthi militia has used the truce to reorganize its ranks and has not implemented any article of the truce.
Al-Barakani and members of the Parliament attending the meeting reviewed a number of issues associated with national public conditions, including deteriorated economic conditions suffered by the Yemeni people, confirming that Houthi militia is an ideological group does not believe in partnership.
They stressed significant responsibilities of the UN and international community to deter this gang to end its coup and end suffering of Yemeni people.
For his part, the UN envoy briefed Parliament Speaker on his efforts and communications he made recently with different concerned countries in the region.
He pointed out that he is communicating with all parties to make different visions and prospects for solutions on the light of Saudi and Omani efforts for reaching a political settlement serving interests of all Yemeni people.
