Minister of Education Tarik al-Akbari launched Sunday the new school year 2023-2024 in accordance with the ministerial calendar.
During launching ceremony, Minister al-Akbari inspected the ongoing educational process and level of attendance in the Al-Baihani Secondary School in Sira District, praising efforts of the cadre and the affiliates of educational sector in these exceptional conditions in the country.
The number of students this year has reached 2,5 million students in the basic and secondary schools across Yemen.
The launching of the new year coincides with the Campaign of Returning to School, which aims at distributing school bags to students from the first to six levels of basic education in different provinces.
