Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in the country's capital, Baku today.
Bin Mubarak conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulating the Azerbaijani government for successfully hosting the summit of the Non-Aligned Contact Group.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to develop them, developments in Yemen, and efforts to achieve peace and end the coup of the Houthi militia.
The meeting also discussed regional and international issues of common concern and ways to coordinate common positions towards them. The two sides agreed to intensify political consultations between the two countries and open a channel for cultural exchange, including consideration of providing scholarships for Yemeni students to study in Azerbaijani universities.
